January - April 2011

It has been a few months since the last update, so there is plenty to catch up on. 2011 started with a bang, with Ludacris (wikipedia.org/wiki/Ludacris), De La Soul (myspace.com/delasoul) and Mike Posner (www.mikeposner.com) stopping by the studio for a day while in town for the Good Vibrations festival. Mike Posner stayed on for an extra three days to work on new songs for his upcoming album and new mixtape.

Braddon recorded and mixed two new songs for Damien Leith's (www.damienleith.com.au) new album, as well as recording and mixing new tracks for The Vines (www.thevines.com) for an exciting new project that will be coming out soon. Mark Ronson (www.markronson.co.uk) also stopped by while on tour with the Future Music festival, and worked on a variety of projects. April was highlighted by another visit from Irish band The Script (www.thescriptmusic.com). The boys were back in the studio with Braddon (they last worked together back in October) to record new material for a collaboration with U.K. rapper Tinie Tempah (www.tinietempah.com).

In the middle of all this there were lots of new songs being written and recorded, as well as a couple of independent albums being cut. All in all it was a jam packed start to 2011, here's hoping the rest of the year goes as well.

December 2010

It was a great end to 2010, with Braddon taking part in a number of great new projects. Beyonce (www.beyonceonline.com) was back in town, and Braddon was once again lucky enough to work with her on new tracks for her forthcoming album. He also recorded and mixed the very first 'YouTube Session' with the very talented Jessica Mauboy (www.jessicamauboy.com.au). You can check it out here. To further cap off a great year, an older track that Braddon engineered for Beyonce has been nominated for a Grammy in the 'Best Female Pop Performance' category. Our fingers are crossed.

November 2010

November was officially X-Factor month, with Braddon spending 3 weeks recording numerous versions of the Winners Single. Congratulations to Altiyan Childs for taking out the title. His track ‘Somewhere In The World’ was engineered by Braddon and debuted at No#9 on the ARIA Charts and was certified Gold, while the album debuted at No#4 and has since gone Platinum. You can check him out at www.altiyanchilds.com.

October 2010

October was a busy month for Braddon. The Script (www.thescriptmusic.com) stopped by to record and mix two songs with him (and latest reports are that they will be used for the U.S. release of their new album). Former Live frontman Ed Kowalczyk (www.myspace.com/edkowalczyk) also stopped by for a bit of recording during his recent tour of Australia. Local punk rockers Tonight Alive (www.myspace.com/tonightalive) also spent a week working on pre-production/demos for their album before heading to L.A. to commence work on their debut

September 2010

Braddon mixed the new live DVD for David Campbell (www.davidcampbell.com), a Broadway inspired show that covers all the classics from the stage.  He also combined his love of music with his love of cricket when he wrote and produced the theme song for Shane Warne’s new TV Show on Channel 9.

July & August 2010

Braddon spent the last two months holed up in the studio with new Sony Music rock band Syndicate. This album is going to be huge. Produced by Brandon Friesen (Nickelback) and Jeff Blue (Linkin Park), the album is a blend of old and new rock and roll. Keep an eye out for the band in the coming months, but in the meantime you can check the guys out at syndicateofficial.com.

July 2010

Braddon has a new magazine article out in Audio Technology (audiotechnology.com.au) in the coming months. It is a great ‘one on one’ with super producer Jacquire King (Kings Of Leon, Norah Jones, Tom Waits). Keep an eye out for that one.

June 2010

Braddon was lucky to have Hip Hop heavyweight Mr Bangladesh (Lil Wayne, Beyonce, Missy Elliott, Ludacris) pop by the studio for a few weeks of recording. It was loud, it was intense, it was awesome. Check him out at myspace.com/bangladeshproductioncompany

May 2010

It was a big month in the studio, with a variety of artists coming through the doors. Braddon engineered for artists such as Bic Runga (bicrunga.com), Jess Mauboy (jessicamauboy.com.au), Georgia Fair (georgiafair.com.au), Scribe (myspace.com/scribedirtyrecords), Cassette Kids (cassettekids.com.au) and Michael Paynter (michaelpaynter.com).

March 2010

March saw Braddon in the studio with the amazing US group The Avett Brothers. The guys recorded and mixed four tracks with Braddon while on their tour of Australia. Check them out at theavettbrothers.com

January 2010

Braddon has moved all of his gear into Sony Studios Sydney, and now makes up the brand new ‘Studio B’. It is a hybrid room comprising some of the best gear available..

December 2009

Braddon worked with the wonderful Beyonce (beyonceonline.com) on her new album/live DVD, and a soon to be released single. He mixed the new album from Kate Miller-Heidke (katemillerheidke.com), engineered the new album by Australian Idol winner Stan Walker (stanwalker.com.au), and has been busy working on demos, and EP’s for up and coming bands.
